What Research Shows

Research shows that we must improve 3rd grade literacy, particularly for Black boys in order to increase the graduation rate. We recognize that a foundation in literacy is crucial to academic achievement in the early grades coupled with a smaller class size for targeted supports and interventions.

In 1983 Harvard Researcher, Howard Gardner, revolutionized how we understand intelligence with his theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI). Many educators have long had the experience of not being able to reach some students until presenting the information in a different way. Because of these experiences, the theory of multiple intelligences resonates with many educators today. It supports what we all know to be true: A one-size-fits-all approach to education will invariably leave some students behind. It is the intention of SABA to utilize Multiple Intelligences to provide an educational experience to students.
